About Dearly

Dearly is the indie pop moniker of Nashville-based singer-songwriter Amanda Jones, known for her tongue-in-cheek lyricism, emotionally honest hooks, and unmistakable queer flair. A former teen pop act who once opened for artists like Aaron Carter and R5, Dearly has since undergone a full artistic metamorphosis—emerging as a silly dyke indie pop powerhouse whose music straddles the line between heartbreak and hilarity.

Her 2024 single “Dykes on Bikes” solidified her place in the growing wave of queer alt-pop artists, garnering attention for its unapologetically gay themes and punk-tinged pop production. That same year, she took the stage at Kentuckiana Pride and Nashville Pride, bringing her high-energy, camp-soaked live show to hundreds of fans. Whether she’s singing about religious trauma, manic love, or sapphic yearning at the speed of light, Dearly creates music that feels like a sapphic rom-com written by a stoned ex-Mormon in a denim mini-skirt and Crocs.

With a background that includes years in the commercial pop scene and a personal journey through ex-Mormonism and queer identity, Dearly brings both polish and lived-in grit to her sound. Her upcoming singles—“Cabbage in the Ashtray” and “Lobotomy at Chili’s”—promise to deliver more of the offbeat, emotionally chaotic storytelling fans have come to love, with lyrics that hit like intrusive thoughts and choruses made to scream in your car at 2am.

For fans of Chappell Roan, MUNA, and Wet Leg, Dearly offers a sharp-witted, big-hearted ride through the strange beauty of being broke, gay, and chronically overthinking everything.
